The Chickenfoot record is half ‘the only Van Hagar record you’re ever likely to get again” and half “Sammy Hagar singing over Satch tunes”.

I got over Satch a while ago but I still love Sammy. So it’s ultimately unsatisfying. And Satch’s tone is off somehow, like he has some new gear or he’s trying to be something he’s not.

You can tell they’re all having a blast though (especially, I suspect, Chad Smith).
