Droid Does

I know I’m a couple of days late but:

• You probably need to stop using the word ‘sidekick’ in the promotional materials for your new mobile device. “Sidekick’d” is a verb in the tech community now for “will accidentally lose all your data”.
• Licensing the word “Droid” from George Lucas is probably not going to be worth it.
• The thing’s a CDMA phone on Verizon which, while important to geeks in SanFran who can’t use their AT&T iPhones downtown, means nothing to the rest of the GSM world.
• The Droid is made by Motorola. That’s just hilarious.

With all the iPosturing, this thing better bring it in a big way.
