Fortune: Rarely seen photos of Steve Jobs

Jobs walks to his hotel with Apple colleagues after the 1997 MacWorld Expo in Boston, following his return to Apple. Later that year he launches the “Think Different” advertising campaign, which is often credited for Apple’s turnaround.

Macworld Boston 1997 was the prequel to the Stevenotes of the last 10 years. You can see it here. Apple is in deep shit and Jobs announces how he is going to turn the company around including a new board and a partnership with Microsoft. No product announcements. Just vision (and cameo by Gates). It’s even got its own “one more thing”. About nine months later, the iMac is released.
