Bruce McAvaney/Sandy Roberts/Johanna Griggs were boring as fuck and their scheduling was atrocious, but the hosts never insulted other countries or competitors. The homophobic comments aimed at the incredible Johnny Weir and his fellow competitors are just the latest in a constant stream of parochial, xenophobic tripe served up by Eddie Fucking Everywhere.

Every time Eddie back-announces an event, he can’t help but throw in a snarky comment - China this, Korea that. It got worse as the week went on, culminating in Wednesday night’s skating fiasco. Nine should switch him with Ken Sutcliffe immediately and send him home much like they have Mick Molloy (what other commitments does Mick have in Australia? MCing a mate’s 40th?).
