The Thursday night sci-fi show isn’t exactly a ratings blockbuster, but there are other factors keeping Fringe in play, including its devoted fan base and its excellent pedigree (the show is produced by the in-demand J.J. Abrams and supergeeks of the moment Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman).
Also, Anna Torv is Rupert Murdoch’s niece.
