For the past few years I’ve attended the Anzac Day Commemorative Service and it is absolutely lovely. It’s held in the Anzac Memorial Gardens on top of Rock Center. The garden is gorgeous and only used once a year, for this service.

ANZAC Commemorative Sunday Service

Sunday, April 26th 10:30am

ANZAC Memorial Garden - British Empire Building

Rockefeller Center - 620 Fifth Ave., 7th Floor

Hosted by the New Zealand and Australian Consulate General.

RSVP is not required. If you plan on going, let me know (lfarm.tumblr at gmail) so we can meet up.

Here is a full list of this week’s activities.

And here is what’s going on at The Australian on Saturday.

I had no idea that place existed (the memorial garden). It’s unfortunate that ex-pats probably do Anzac day better than most of us here. We’re all still a peeved that there’s no public holiday.

Shame.
