So my big trade paperback Amazon order came (in the sack), completing my collection of the (currently released) 6 collections of Buffy Season 8. I’m up to Drew Goddard’s (Cloverfield, Lost, Alias, Buffy, Angel) arc in Volume 3.

Issue 11 is Buffy’s first meeting with the season’s big bad, Twilight. But Issue 12, the infamous ‘Buffy sleeps with another slayer’ book, is the honestly the best thing written in the ‘verse not written by Joss. Touching pillow talk combined with the ridiculousness of the whole gang shoe-horned into the scene to ruin everything. Also, Dracula.

I’m pretty happy that I’ve got three and a half books to go (and two more to be released).
